Still mildly disorented, Meryl can only shudder as she hears that first whisper. Her eyes flutter open, leaving her unsure as to when they'd been closed in the first place. It takes a second to focus on Night Sky, or to even process the way the dryad's hand glides over her skin.
"Mmn?" She can't help but look quizzically up at her. Why wouldn't she be okay after all of that? "I don't think I've felt this good in... ever, honestly."
She rubs at her neck with a faint grin. It shouldn't surprise her how rough her voice already sounds but. Here we are.
"Always good to ask." She chuckled, leaning in to kiss her, slow and sweet on the lips. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." And she might have been preening a bit; proud of herself for her stellar performance and the obvious lasting impression she left on Meryl. Night Sky slowly loosened her grip from her hand and moved to settle beside her, searching for the blanket she mentioned earlier so she could drape it over Meryl's bare lower half. "You're cute."
Night Sky might be preening, but it's not like she hasn't earned it. Meryl certainly thinks so, humming her own praise as she reaches up to scratch her fingers against the womann's scalp. The blanket is appreciated, even if she probably should get dressed here soon.
Night Sky leaned into the affection, reaching blindly beside her for a piece of fruit to pop into her mouth. Couldn't quite compare to how sweet Meryl tasted, but it wasn't bad.
"Hm?" She hummed curiously. "Oh. Nah, you don't have to." Night Sky was plenty satisfied getting Meryl off and enlightening her to the world of being eaten out. "I'm good."
Meryl can't really help herself. The way Night Sky goes back to eating so casually makes her lose it. She buries her face against her own arm and begins to laugh. It's breathless and giddy, but hard enough to make her start to tear up.
"I guess I'm used to it." She said with a shrug. "Sex is familiar and easy for me - I know how to please people like that." A faint hint of a smirk curved her mouth upward when she looked to Meryl again. As evidenced by how good the other woman seemed to feel after her performance, apparently. "It's when people stick around that I don't really know what to do."
Her expression faded slightly, and she hid it as best she could by shoving some bread and cheese into her mouth. "I'm not used to people wanting me for more than that. Not that I'm saying you don't- just that I'm not as casual and confident as you think I am."
"Always easier to stumble through things with someone else." She laughed.
Night Sky leaned over to kiss her cheek. "Mmm. I trust you. And I'd like to do this again." A beat. "And finish this meal. Sorry for... distracting us."

"Should I - I mean... Do you want anything?"

"You're - You're ridiculous."

She looked down, confused, and then chuckled softly. "So I've been told. Why am I ridiculous this time though?"

Meryl reaches for a piece of fruit, herself. Funny, how it isn't nearly as good now that she's gotten a taste of that.

It makes her feel a little better that she's not the only one floundering. Not in this regard.
"At least you don't have to doubt that with me, right?
At least, she hopes that's the case.

But for now, she reaches for one of the containers from earlier.
"But first, we need to eat. Before you distract me again."
And she absolutely will not accept any arguments.
